Atelier 3 is a film production company based in Les Houches, near Chamonix, rooted in action sports, visual storytelling and culture. We work across social shoots, athlete stories, events, brand productions and full films.
At the foot of Mont Blanc, we’re used to being in the middle of the action: follow-cam skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, trail running, or heading into the mountains to get the shot.
We cover the whole process, from the first idea to the final edit. When a project calls for it, we bring in 16mm film and analogue photography too.
THE TEAM
We’re three complementary profiles brought together by a shared background in action sports, content and culture. Between us we cover creative, production, camera and social, in French, German and English. We’re all hands-on and used to stepping into each other’s roles: different skills, the same vision and way of working.
Will Derrick
Camera and Content Producer
I spend much of the winter filming across the Park & Pipe World Cup tour, from follow-cams and competition coverage to athlete features, interviews and long-form storytelling.
I take projects from filming through to editing, always looking for creative ways to tell stories that feel authentic, whether it’s for social, YouTube or film. With a background in product design, I also build the custom rigs and camera tools in The Lab.
Coming from competitive freestyle skiing, I know the world I’m filming from the inside. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me ski touring, trying to make the top before sunrise.
Andi Ratschiller
Content and Production Lead
After 15 years at Red Bull, including as Head of Content, I’ve led content across some of the biggest action sports projects in the industry.
I bring together creative, production and editorial, working across everything from athlete documentaries and broadcast productions to social campaigns. My career started on the other side of the camera, as a professional hockey player.
After hours I’m still behind a camera, shooting film and looking for the next roll, camera or piece of gear to add to the collection.
