Shaping New Futures

For Shaping New Futures, a short documentary exploring Salomon’s approach to design, innovation and mountain performance, Rogue Otter provided on mountain production support for the shoot in and around Annecy and the French Alps.
Working alongside the wider production team, we handled the practicalities of filming in the mountains, from local knowledge and logistics to access, planning and on location support. We also provided specialist on ski camera operation, capturing the movement and performance of Salomon’s equipment in its natural environment.
The film moves between Salomon’s Annecy Design Center, where ideas become prototypes, and the mountains where those ideas are ultimately put to the test. Our role was to connect those two environments, making the mountain side of the production as efficient and straightforward as possible while delivering the specialist camera work needed to capture fast moving action on snow.
From navigating alpine locations and coordinating mountain logistics to operating cameras on skis, we brought the local experience and technical knowledge needed to keep the production moving in challenging terrain.
